Everything close at hand
Your 3-Star Superior Panorama Hotel high above Merano
Gently, the village of Tirol nestles around the Küchelberg. The green hill at the foot of the Mutspitze offers the most beautiful view of the spa town and the Merano basin; the view extends even further, into the Vinschgau, into the Adige Valley towards Bolzano, up to the hiking and ski area of Meran 2000 and towards Vigiljoch, the local mountain of Lana.
In the middle of this scenery, in a quiet side street without through traffic and surrounded by an idyllic garden, you will find the Kessler bed and breakfast in Tirolo and our Residence with the holiday apartments.
Ideal holiday climate
The first guests visited the Merano region as spa guests. They came for the good air and mild climate - something you can still enjoy with us today. Our climate is mild and sunny, influenced by alpine and Mediterranean elements. Thus, blooming here already starts in March and even in late autumn it is often still quite warm. The summer months are particularly mild in the mountains. And in winter, we are especially delighted by the snow in higher regions.
Pole Position for Active People and Explorers
From Hotel Kessler, it's only a 3-minute walk (180 m) to the bus station, a 5-minute walk (300 m) to the center of Dorf Tirol, where the pedestrian zone and numerous restaurants are located, and a short stroll to Schloss Tirol, the former ancestral castle of the Counts of Tyrol. The Tappeinerweg leads down into the city and to the many sights of Meran, such as the promenade, the Laubengasse, or the Kurhaus. Around the basin, the almost flat Waalwege, particularly popular with families, invite you to take extensive walks. But more challenging hikes in the high mountains are also possible here, for example to the Mutspitze, in the Texelgruppe nature park or to Meran 2000.
